perfect base for exploring fredericksburg's landmarks and parks
During my stay, I loved that the hotel was just a short walk away from the Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop and the picturesque Fredericksburg National Cemetery, making it so easy for me to enjoy leisurely strolls while taking in the rich history around me. aside from that, the friendly staff made every interaction a delight and the cozy atmosphere was just what I wanted after a day of exploring.

Historic charm with a cozy feel
The hotel’s location in the heart of the historic district made exploring easy and enjoyable. I particularly loved the small local coffee house nearby—perfect for a morning pick-me-up before sightseeing.
However, one staff interaction was less than ideal. While most were friendly, I encountered a staff member who seemed impatient and dismissive when I requested coffee pods.

Great customer service and quick valet, but noisy hallways disrupted my sleep.

the breakfast was strange, with half-full coffee cups and no explanation of the bill. i also expected automatic room cleaning—what hotel doesn’t do that? absolutely no one offered me a seamless upgrade, which was disappointing. i almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t with these letdowns. stay away, unless you're okay with mediocrity!

I stayed for one night to explore the historical sites in the area. The room was very clean and comfortable, which made resting easy after a long day of visiting local sights. The king room with a sofa bed was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, providing a nice atmosphere with plenty of natural light. Check-in was seamless, and I appreciated the well-stocked fridge for keeping my drinks cool. The only downside was the pantry's pricing, as I unthinkingly paid $3 for a small snack without pricing displayed. However, the hotel's location was perfect, with an easy walk to local shops and restaurants, and the nearby Italian café offered some of the best coffee I've ever had.
